|Who's the service for?||
The services are available to all Falmouth University and Erasmus/Exchange students studying at Falmouth University in Cornwall at any level, including returning students.
The 2 September collection service is timed to support students travelling from countries that are currently on the Government Amber List of countries who will need to self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival in the UK to minimise the spread of COVID-19. You will need to arrange two government tests on days 2 and 8 and we will provide you with a test on day 5 which if negative will allow you to finish your isolation.
The coach service will take you directly to the Penryn Campus in Cornwall. Once on campus, Collection Service passengers will be settled into our free quarantine accommodation and will be supported throughout the required 10 day period. If you require self-isolation accommodation on campus from the 2 September please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your booking details.
The 9 September collection services are to support students arriving from the Government Green List of countries or those that have completed their mandatory 10 days in a quarantine hotel after travelling from a Government Red List of country. You cannot use this service if you are travelling from an Amber country. The coach service will take you directly to the Penryn Campus in Cornwall.
For all services you will need to show evidence of a negative test taken within the last 72 hours. If you don't have this we will have lateral flow tests available on the day instead. Refusal to show a negative test or take a lateral flow test will result in not being able to use the service and you will need to make your own way to campus.
To make sure you meet us on time, please allow enough time after your flight landing to go through luggage collection and visa control, and travel between terminals if required.
Capacity on the services is limited. Seats are allocated on a first come first served basis. If capacity is reached the booking system may be closed early.
We will do everything possible to help ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible and reduce the risk to you and others of spreading the COVID-19 virus. Appropriate safety, sanitising and social distancing measures will be implemented on the service as necessary in line with government guidance at the time and all passengers will be asked to comply. This includes showing a negative test as above. These measures may include, but may not be limited to, distanced seating plans, the wearing of face coverings while travelling, regular hand sanitisation. Full details will be confirmed closer to the time to ensure they fully comply with up to date UK law and government guidelines. By booking a place on the service and agreeing to our Terms and Conditions you give your agreement to follow the measures that will be in place.
Data Protection Statement
Falmouth University respects your privacy and values your trust. We will always process your data in a fair and lawful manner. As part of our collection service we will share your data with our partner organization, Falmouth Exeter Plus, who operate a number of services on our behalf. If you would like to find out more about how we use or share your data, please visit our data privacy pages. Whether your data is processed by Falmouth University or Falmouth Exeter Plus, we will ensure that it is done so in a lawful, transparent and respectful manner. There is limited luggage space on the services. Whilst we understand you will have a lot to bring to the UK, please consider what luggage you need to bring with you. Limit the amount to what you can carry and move around by yourself.
We strongly advise you consider sending your luggage directly to campus, to arrive after you move in and only carry the necessities for your first few days. Please note the University will not accept advance freight of your luggage and cannot store shipped luggage for you in advance of your arrival.
If you send luggage unaccompanied or as freight to the airport you will be responsible for collecting this.
